Spotlight on our newest BT&S Team member – Sarah Costin: -
I first met Sarah in 2007 when she joined Hays as a trainee recruiter, taking her on her 1st ever client visit, which ensured I covered EVERYTHING off by the book. This was just prior to the UK sliding into what became the biggest recession since the 1930’s. Classic timing, but as you can see from where she is now, she persevered, worked hard, and always with a smile on her face.
I can honestly say I know Sarah to be a grafter and one of the best customer service driven consultants I had worked with. A little bit of a perfectionist and mild workaholic – always last minute to leave the office to collect the kids as just wanted to finish something off.
We are very happy to have Sarah come on board and join our team, as her work ethic values, and outlook mirror ours – but lets see what she thinks of us now she’s joined….

I remember that visit as if it was just yesterday Claire! And I remember how many questions the client asked you (there were lots!!) and here we are 14 years on, hundreds if not thousands of client meetings later and back working together once again, one word, fabulous!!
Coming from a global PLC to a boutique recruitment business has been a huge change for me both personally and professionally but I can say hand on heart that it has been a wonderful change. I love working with like-minded people in such a relaxed and flexible work setting and Claire, Tracy, and Jane are great. They are all incredibly hard-working, dedicated, and driven recruitment professionals that have what we call the “old school” approach to recruitment. I have worked with Claire for many years, and I have known Tracy and Jane for much of this time but not to the extent that I know them today. Over the past 2 months, they have fully embraced me and my family into their own family and I could not be happier.
I am just coming to the end of month 2 of my BT&S journey and I can honestly say that these 2 months have absolutely flown by! On-boarding from home, learning new systems and new processes (from afar) has been at times challenging but always manageable and has most definitely always been fun! Getting to know both my new candidates and clients has been great and helping to find my first BT&S candidate a new job last week has been the icing on the cake.
The BT&S team has been nothing but supportive, incredibly patient, and extremely welcoming so already I feel as though I have been here forever. Each day speeds past and this can offer only one explanation, “time flies when you’re having fun!”.
