Well what a month July has been!

We started off with our #2 year-end celebration on the 9th July which included all the BT&S team with their + 1’s, a lot of fizz and a lot of dancing! It was great to get all of us together to celebrate the successes of year 2!  The sun shone on us all afternoon and we came up with a really good plan for our future year-end festivities …. 2 years = 2 celebrations, so we’re set to get more and more celebrating in as the years roll on! Happy days!

The full team had a fabulous day volunteering at The Springhill Hospice in Rochdale on the 14th July. We spent the day, willow weaving (well Claire did as she has a natural talent for this new-found skill) whilst the others were weeding, twistle picking and bark spreading. In just over 4 hours we had transformed a very over-grown area of their gardens back to its original beauty. Again, the sun shone so we all topped up our tans and we all got very grubby! It was so much fun but more importantly it was great to help the hospice (that heavily rely on volunteers) and to give our time to help others whilst giving back to our local community. We all have such busy lives and finding time to volunteer can be difficult, but we can highly recommend it. The hospice is always looking for volunteers for a wide variety of tasks so let us know if you would like some further information or go to https://springhill.org.uk/

Manchester has baked in temperatures topping 28 degrees and we have enjoyed every minute. Let’s hope August is as kind so we can all enjoy our staycations and of course some more working in the sun!
