Big news this month from BAS

Posted 30/5/2022 by Jane Taylor

How can we possibly be nearing the end of May already? – the months are literally flying by and although it feels like the temperature needs turning up a few notches it is nice to see some sunny days starting to appear. What is particularly lovely is seeing pictures of people on their summer holidays already and people taking advantage of being able to move around the world more freely. We have been lucky enough to have a few ‘get togethers’ as a team, including a lovely lunch out in Liverpool and have many more planned in the upcoming months.

We have two lots of big news this month, firstly that we have now secured an office and we are starting to work there together on a hybrid basis, which has been fantastic. Not only from a work perspective but who knew how much a wander around M & S on your lunch hour had been so sorely missed! We haven’t quite got the pictures up on the wall just yet, but all the workstations are now in full use and the important things like coffee and tea are there in abundance. The other is that we have an additional team member, Mel Miras. Mel has been supporting us for the past few years with general administrative duties but has now made the move to join us on a permanent basis. We are all thrilled and welcome Mel to the BAS team.

The current recruitment market is still incredibly challenging as we transition to an endemic rather than pandemic world and it is fair to say that finding candidates in a job rich economy, is a labour-intensive task for recruiters of all levels and disciplines. As always, we take an open and honest approach with all our clients and have tried to offer solutions to work around the candidate shortage. We appreciate our longstanding relationships and strive to ensure that the level of service offered remains of the highest standard and enable us to meet the end goal together. We look forward to seeing more pictures of everyone enjoying the somewhat newfound freedom and wish everyone a happy Jubilee weekend.
