So February, it’s a year since Bayman Atkinson Smythe came into being, from the combined forces of Atkinson Resourcing and Bayman Topping & Smythe. However, we are a bit like the King, and we have two birthdays. Our actual birthday and our official one. Having changed our year-end to the 31st of March, allowing our clients to transition to our new company, and ensuring it went smoothly, allowed us to have our official birthday at the end of March, as well as our real one in early February.
We have flown through so much change over the last twelve months, as we merged and grew together. We created a new website, integrated systems, and welcomed a new member of the team, Mel. We have placed more people and embraced new phenomena in this post-pandemic era, all of which seemed to be termed ‘the great….’. From the great resignation to the great realisation and the great regret.
We have lost our Queen and will be welcoming the coronation of a King for the first time in our personal lifetimes. We are a year into the War in Ukraine and have helped Ukrainian candidates find their first role as they settle into the UK.
We are all trying to weather the cost of living crisis in our personal lives whilst seeing the impact this has on our clients, and candidates alike, be it in struggling to recruit due to wage inflation, or not being able to offer the flexible working due to their sectors.
Throughout all this, we have shown our resilience, persistence, and dedication to find our clients and candidates, matching them to each other and ensuring that their journey is as smooth as we can make it for all, in these turbulent times. Finding innovative solutions, thinking outside the box, and pulling on a tried and tested favourite of true recruiters…the wild card.
We are looking forward with gusto to our official birthday at the end of March, venturing into our second year together, with ambitious growth plans whilst consolidating our already solid base. We welcome you onboard as you continue to follow us on our journey, joining in when you need our support and supporting us even when you don’t.
