Specialist financial recruiters Claire Bayman and Tracy Topping have joined forces to set up boutique consultancy, Bayman, Topping & Smythe.
The duo, who first worked together during their time as senior financial recruiters Hays, always had a vision for how they wanted to work. Bayman, who previously held a senior role with Axon, said “Recruitment has always been about more than just hitting monthly targets for us both. It’s about having the time to build real, honest relationships with clients and candidates. Creating our own boutique agency puts us in control of how we work, we want to focus on the people we work with rather than the purely profit.”
And the new approach seems to be working already, as the company started trading sooner than planned. Bayman explains “We had planned to spend some time building the business and the brand, before we officially launched, but within the first few days of launching the company I was approached by a previous contact asking for our help, we filled our first role within 14 days of go live– and the rest is history, as they say”
The company will already be 7 months old at the end of January and has already matched more than 25 people to new positions. Topping continued “We’ve had an incredible first 7 months, but there is more to come, and we’re looking forward to connecting even more of our companies and clients in 2020”
