Paying between £26k - £30k, this property management company is recruiting for an Assistant Client Accountant and a Client Accountant on a permanent basis. The role offers both a hybrid and flexible working pattern, 24 days holiday, a benefits programme and a generous pension scheme. They will also support study and it is a 35-hour working week.
The Role
The job's main purpose is to be responsible for ensuring the delivery of excellent client service to several different clients within a portfolio. They are varied positions with particular focus on cash management, account reconciliations, invoice raising, and assisting with month and quarter-end reporting for their high-profile clients.
Key Accountabilities:
- Preparation of client reports
- Bad debt calculation
- Accruals and prepayments
- Cash management of client funds, ensuring money is transferred in line with client requirements
- Management of lease information
- Investigating unreconciled items on multiple reconciliations within 30 days
- Raising charges and receipting cash for payments where applicable and input rental payments onto the firm's banking software ready for approval

The Person
This will suit someone who has previous accounting experience, ideally within a property or housing environment (this is by no means essential) and someone who is looking to join a forward-thinking and progressive company. You can be an AAT studier, part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or QBE and be someone looking for their next career move and a company that offers study support and career progression. You must have excellent Excel skills, be organised with good attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure is essential. You will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. As the role is hybrid you must be commuteable to the Chorley area. The initial 3 months will be fully-office based for training, after that, it will become hybrid.
