Our client is a leading not for profit client based in Liverpool that is going through a large-scale transformation programme. As part of this change, we are seeking a talented and ambitious Assistant Group Financial Planning Analyst to join a highly regarded team that are responsible for delivering all the financial planning and reporting for group finance.

THE JOB:

As Assistant Group Financial Planning Analyst, you will be expected to provide system support for the wider finance teams whilst undertaking financial analysis relating to the group budgeting, forecasting and business plan processes and assisting with the production of monthly reports and presentations for the senior management team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting month end, budgets, and forecasting processes
  • Supporting the production of month end management accounts providing financial information to Business Partnering teams and consolidating commentaries for the group in a timely manner
  • Responding to queries from internal customers and stakeholders
  • Supporting the financial planning of the Group Finance department by producing and maintaining calendars and timetables for budgets, forecasts, and reporting deadlines
  • Supporting the group budgeting and forecasting processes, performing financial analysis, and helping in the production of presentations for senior management, committees, and Group Board
  • Being the first point of call for any finance systems queries and responding within SLA timeframes
  • Supporting UAT for any fixes / upgrades / developments to Business Partner systems

THE PERSON:

Ideally you will be an active studier committed to becoming a fully qualified Accountant or a graduate seeking a career in finance. It is essential you possess advanced Excel skills, can communicate effectively and be a strong team player.
