Situated in North Manchester, this Global award-winning business is seeking an experienced individual to join their expanding Credit Control team as Credit Controller. Based at their head office in North Manchester, you will be reporting to the Credit Control Team Leader and supporting the group across the UK and in the United States.

THE JOB:

Reporting to the Credit Control Team Leader, as Credit Controller you will be responsible for collecting aged debt from both UK and US customers in a range of currencies.

As Credit Controller your main responsibilities will include:

  • Chasing UK and US debt by telephone and email
  • Ensuring all CIS certificates are acquired from customers and making CIS deductions
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping and credit control notes
  • Having regular communication with the finance team to ensure maintenance of the sales ledger accounts
  • Responding to customer requests and queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensuring all statements and debt letters are issued in a relevant and timely manner
  • Producing all necessary UK and US credit checking reports for both new customers and existing customers
  • Assisting with the progression of new orders through the financial system by checking and verifying details relating to address, contact details and credit worthiness for both new and existing customers
  • Assisting in the daily/weekly reporting on the aged debt of the businesses
  • Updating the cash flow forecast on a daily basis with expected future receipts
  • Assisting in the production of comprehensive aged debtor reports for review with the Senior Credit Controller and Financial Controller
  • Dealing with both UK and US customer queries and responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Credit Controller that is looking for a challenge and the opportunity to work in a fast paced and changeable environment. You will need to be a highly organised and tenacious character with natural problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills, an out-going personality, enthusiasm, and resilience are all required within this role.

THE BENEFITS:

This is a full time office role. The working hours are Monday to Friday working from 8.30am -5.30pm. The company offer 23 days holiday + the bank holidays and free onsite parking.
