We’re partnering with a well-established logistics and distribution business known for its operational excellence and long-standing customer relationships. As part of their continued growth, they’re looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner into a newly created, high-profile role at the heart of the operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to step into a genuinely commercial role with clear progression.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional, desk-based finance position. You’ll be embedded within operations, working closely with depot managers and senior stakeholders to drive performance, challenge costs and influence key decisions.
With exposure across multiple sites, you’ll play a critical role in improving profitability and shaping how finance adds value to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational teams across multiple depots to drive financial performance
- Deliver insightful monthly reporting, focusing on trends, risks and opportunities
- Analyse costs, margins and key performance drivers to support decision-making
- Lead budgeting and forecasting at depot level
- Challenge and optimise the cost base (labour, fuel, fleet, overheads)
- Support month-end processes, including management accounts, accruals and controls
- Identify and implement improvements to reporting and financial processes
About You
- Part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and actively studying
- Experience in management accounts and/or commercial finance
- Strong analytical skills with the confidence to challenge and influence
- Experience in a multi-site or operational environment is highly beneficial
- Advanced Excel skills and good systems awareness
- Proactive, commercially minded and keen to step into a true business partnering role
