This well-known Education provider based in Manchester is looking for a Part Qualified Accountant with solid management accounts and the foundations of business partnering skills. THE ROLE

You will be responsible for providing a proactive range of financial and commercial support to your Stakeholders. This role will work closely with the Senior Business Partner to produce, analyse and monitor financial performance versus budget, providing revenue assurance and proactively suggest and support measures to achieve annual budgets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as a key point of contact and developing strong relationships with budget holders
  • Liaising with appropriate team members or managers to ensure timely response is provided to any requests
  • Providing advice to all budget holders on Group procedures and processes.
  • Working closely with Business Unit Managers on budget monitoring and Financial Management.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate production of standard monthly and ad hoc reports & meeting Group deadlines.
  • Collating yearly budget and quarterly forecasts with budget holders.
  • Supporting management of commercial risk by completing investment appraisals, as and when required
  • Contributing ideas and suggestions for the development of department systems and procedures, supporting the senior finance team in all activities when necessary.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness in all management accounts and balancing the account reports to the general ledger.

THE PERSON

  • Part Qualified/Actively studying to become a Fully Qualified Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years' previous work experience ln a finance role
  • Experience of working with non finance Stakeholders /Budget Holders with Management Accounts, developing and mon iitiring Budget and forecasts and ensuring deadlines are met
  • High degree of analytical and problem solving experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of Excel and integrated financial IT systems
