Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Temporary Financial Accountant to join a fast-paced finance team on a 6 month assignment. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting critical accounting processes and driving improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering month-end accounting processes, including preparation of journals and reporting.

• Managing and maintaining the fixed asset register.

• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.

• Completing and submitting VAT returns.

• Reviewing the current internal control framework and building a robust risk and controls matrix.

• Supporting a process improvement project to streamline finance operations.

• Assisting with an ongoing ERP system upgrade.

About You:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting and controls.

• Proven experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and VAT.

• Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to hit the ground running and adapt quickly.

• Available to start at short notice.
