We have an exceptional opportunity for a Financial Accounting & Tax  Manager for an award-winning international services group. Reporting to the CFO, the financial accounting & tax manager will play a pivotal role in the accounting team and will also be a member of the senior leader’s group within the wider business. The financial accounting  and tax manager will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of the statutory reporting for the UK division for consolidation purposes
  • Management of the annual external audit, co-ordinating the audit deliverables required from internal teams to ensure timely delivery to the auditors
  • Preparation of the impairment assessment for the UK group and presentation to external auditors
  • Manage a small, experienced reporting team of 3
  • Key contact for corporation tax advisors, taking responsibility for co-ordinating the production of corporation tax calculations and payments
  • Manage relationships with third party providers and HMRC in relation to tax queries and pension liabilities
  • Liaise with auditors to provide support and advice to the UK business in developing accounting and tax positions for new market initiatives
  • Develop the tax strategy for the UK business including implementation of the internal control framework
  • Manage the submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Lead on a number of group initiatives identifying areas for improvement within the current financial control environment

The person

ACA or ACCA qualified finance professional from a practice background preferable

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Proven influencing and negotiation skills in working with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Ability to manage and prioritise multiple and competing priorities

Previous experience of pension schemes would be an advantage
