Financial Controller - Greater Manchester, North West

We are partnering with a growing international group with operations across the globe in the recruitment of  a qualified and commercially minded Financial Controller.   This is a varied role combining high-quality financial and group reporting with budgeting, financial control, stakeholder management and the leadership and development of a small team. Working within a multinational, multi-currency environment, you will play a key role in maintaining robust financial processes while identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls and overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering accurate and timely financial and group reporting
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements and the external audit process
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and maintaining a strong financial control environment
  • Managing the reporting requirements of entities operating across different currencies
  • Building effective relationships with senior stakeholders and international finance teams
  • Leading, supporting and developing a small finance team
  • Driving improvements across processes, controls, systems and management information

About you:

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, and previous Financial Controller experience would be advantageous, although we are equally interested in individuals ready to take the next step in their career.

You should bring strong reporting and budgeting skills, experience of working within a larger international organisation and a proven ability to manage stakeholders and develop others. Exposure to statutory reporting, audit, multi-currency environments and European or global businesses would be particularly valuable.

You will be a confident Excel user, with HFM experience and ideally some exposure to SAP. Most importantly, you will be a proactive and enthusiastic team player who is comfortable initiating change, improving ways of working and taking ownership of delivery.
