Our client is a leading not for profit client based in Liverpool that is going through a large-scale transformation programme. As part of this change, we are seeking a talented and ambitious Group Financial Planning Analyst to join a highly regarded team that are responsible for delivering all the financial planning and reporting for group finance.

THE JOB:

As Group Financial Planning Analyst, you will support the team in ensuring all reporting processes are followed to support the financial planning cycle across the group including budget quarterly forecasts and the business plan.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of the budget, quarterly forecasts, and other supporting financial analysis
  • Assisting the Group Financial Planning Manager to deliver smooth and robust month including management accounts and financial performance reporting, together with risks and opportunities.
  • Working with Group Finance and Group Treasury in the preparation, validation, and submission of regulatory returns
  • Ensuring financial control and data integrity of all financial models used for reporting and planning
  • Having an awareness of both internal and external factors and challenges and how they impact the company’s financial position
  • Playing a key role in ensuring the timely preparation and consolidation of the group’s business plan

THE PERSON:

Ideally you will be an active studier (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) and committed to becoming a fully qualified Accountant with advanced Excel skills. This is a high-profile role providing a platform to interact with key members of the senior leadership team, so it is essential you possess strong written and verbal communication skills. With effective negotiation skills you will form part of a highly regarded and results driven financial planning team.
