Group Treasurer – Permanent – Blackburn - c £145,000 + Bonus and a range of benefits

Working to a visionary CFO we are now seeking to appoint an experienced and talented Group Treasurer who will lead the treasury department through a period of significant change, ensuring the Group has the right internals control in place to support the future ambitions of the Group and spearhead a number of key objectives. This will be a high profile role, and we require an individual who can work as part of a highly driven and focused finance leadership team.

Responsibilities :

  • Designing and implementing/developing target treasury organisation including roles and responsibilities, strategy, policy and new treasury operational processes including daily cash management, foreign exchange, interest rate and diesel hedging, guarantee issuance and management reporting
  • Identifying/refining future funding requirements
  • Introducing debt monitoring processes
  • Acting as project lead in relation to a treasury management system implementation and development
  • Utilising your extensive network of key banking relationships to support the negotiation of bank lending facilities
  • Leading credit rating application processes and relationships
  • Leading processes to ensure compliance with external funding covenants and legal agreements
  • Developing strategic relationships with key banks and other providers of finance
  • Supporting ongoing accounting/reporting activities of the group finance team and company secretary and Compliance activities
  • Managing and developing the EG Group Treasury Team
  • Managing intercompany funding and liquidity of individual businesses within the Group
  • Providing advice and expertise to individual businesses
  • Day-to-day management of cash balances, minimising idle cash, deploying cash as required by the businesses and optimising returns on surplus cash balances
  • Providing project support to the EG Group Management Board across a range of themes including M&A activities, financing and cash management initiatives

Skills required :

  • It is essential the person has proven experience of working in large international, complex, and rapidly growing businesses, with experience of acquisitions
  • Highly experienced in raising debt – both bank and capital market transactions
  • Has a naturally entrepreneurial nature and able to work in a large private/private equity backed business
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
