We're delighted to be partnering with a reputable Pharmaceuticals company based in Greater Manchester that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Finance to join their team on a permanent basis. As a core member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will take charge of the financial management, reporting, and compliance duties, ensuring the company’s financial health is maintained and its growth ambitions are supported effectively. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive finance professional with a manufacturing background to make a tangible impact in a dynamic industry, working closely with international colleagues and senior stakeholders whilst managing a team of 4

  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS formats.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow, and reconciliation processes.
  • Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and Group Finance teams, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with the SLT and Group Finance.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, Group policies, and legal requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, credit control, and supplier terms to optimise liquidity and financial stability.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the UK finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Act as a key financial partner to the Country Manager and senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making with accurate and insightful financial analysis.
  • Manage financial risks proactively, developing strategies to mitigate potential impacts on the business.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with a proven track record in IFRS reporting and financial management.
  • Experience managing small finance teams, with strong leadership and development skills.
  • Hands-on approach combined with strategic insight, able to communicate effectively across departments and with international stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Resilient, professional, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £75,000 plus benefits, including hybrid working arrangements (up to two days from home per week).
