Head of Group Transactional Services – Permanent – Liverpool or London (Flexible and hybrid working) – Salary Negotiable + Excellent benefits

Following a recent partnership with One Housing Group, now is an exciting time to join, as the organisation is seeking to appoint a number of new key roles within finance. Embarking on integrating two finance functions the vision is to create an influential finance team that will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation delivers its’ ambitious delivery plans, whilst enhancing the lives of many. As the Head of Group Transactional Services, you will join a talented and committed finance team, and your role will be to ensure the efficient and effective finance processing services are delivered on behalf of the group.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive efficient, standardised, effective and systematic finance processing services for the group
  • Manage and co-ordinate the Finance Processing Team
  • Ensure a high-quality service, striving to continually improve performance
  • Devise, implement and continually review internal business processes and controls
  • Support the Head of Accounting and Control in the smooth and timely delivery of the external audit
  • Provide challenge to the business to ensure the appropriate financial controls are applied to all key systems, processes and ways of working across the group
  • Provide internal reports to highlight performance against target, and conduct regular reviews with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and collection of debt
  • Initiate, deliver on, and be involved in any projects which will increase efficiency of transaction processing

This will be a high profile role within the senior management team and will be a key ambassador for finance.

The Person:

  • It is essential you are a fully qualified accountant
  • Substantial experience of managing teams
  • Previous experience of working in a large and complex organisation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
