At Bayman Atkinson Smythe Ltd, we’re excited to partner with a forward-thinking engineering company based in Manchester, seeking a dedicated permanent HR Business Partner to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid HR generalist background and experience in the engineering sector to make a real impact within a dynamic, privately-owned organisation.

THE JOB

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Provide expert advice and support on employment law, policies, and procedures
  • Support managers with workforce planning, recruitment, on-boarding, and employee development
  • Handle employee relations issues, ensuring swift, fair, and compliant resolutions
  • Contribute to organisational change initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Maintain HR administration and data management with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Promote employee engagement and well-being initiatives within the organisation

THE PERSON

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a strong background in the engineering sector
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience working in a small team environment, demonstrating flexibility and initiative
  • HR qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 5 or above) is preferred but is not essential
