We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established B2B services company based in Greater Manchester, for an experienced Interim Financial Controller. This dynamic organisation, is seeking a professional who can effectively oversee their month-end closing processes and manage their accounts efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial control, preferably within a Business Services environment, demonstrating both leadership and excellent financial acumen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s financial management during a crucial interim period.
- Oversee the month-end closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
- Manage and support a small team, providing guidance and support where necessary
- Review and improve existing financial controls and procedures
- Prepare and present management reports, providing insights into financial performance
- Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Assist with cash flow management and budgeting activities
- Support senior management with strategic financial planning and analysis
- ACA/ACCA/ACMA Qualified Accountant
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within Business Services
- Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting standards
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
