Are you an experienced Group Financial Accountant who enjoys variety, autonomy and working closely with senior stakeholders?
We're recruiting on behalf of a successful international business seeking an accomplished finance professional to provide key cover while the current postholder is seconded onto a major ERP implementation programme.
This is far more than a business-as-usual reporting role. You'll take ownership of the Group's core financial control activities while working closely with the Financial Controller, senior leadership team, international finance teams and the wider project team. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the ERP project, making this an excellent assignment for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting with business partnering and process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Group month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the Group.
- Managing balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Producing and maintaining the Group's 13-week cash forecast and supporting treasury activities.
- Supporting the preparation of consolidated management and statutory reporting.
- Acting as a key contact for external auditors and liaising with international finance teams.
- Reviewing intercompany accounting, VAT and wider statutory compliance activities.
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the finance team.
- Providing financial analysis and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Supporting process improvements and contributing to the ongoing ERP implementation project.
About you
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous Group Finance or Financial Accounting experience within a multi-entity organisation. You'll be technically strong, comfortable managing competing priorities and equally confident producing high-quality financial reporting as you are building relationships across the business.
Experience of group consolidations, balance sheet control, cash forecasting and external audit is essential. Exposure to ERP implementations or finance transformation projects would be highly advantageous.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where you'll play a visible role across the business, gain exposure to a significant systems implementation and make a genuine impact during an important period of change.
