Internal Sales Account Manager

£27,000 basic + quarterly commission (OTE £31,000+)
Rochdale | Office-based

A market-leading, long-established textiles group with multiple UK sites is seeking a driven Internal Sales Account Manager to join its high-performing sales team at their Rochdale head office.

This is a full-time, office-based role working Monday to Friday, 8:45am–5:15pm, with the added benefit of a 4pm finish every other Friday.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts, whilst providing support to the external sales team. The role is centred around excellent relationship management and service delivery, with a strong commercial focus.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact existing customers to maximise sales opportunities
  • Understand customer needs, recommend suitable products, and up-sell where appropriate
  • Build long-term relationships to encourage repeat and regular business
  • Keep up to date with new product launches, promotions, and company initiatives
  • Support Area Sales Managers with business development activities
  • Liaise with internal departments and external carriers to ensure seamless customer service

THE PERSON

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for sales and customer care. Previous experience in a similar internal sales or account management role is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.

You will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build rapport and trust with customers
  • A proactive, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Confidence in negotiating and identifying up-selling opportunities
