Based in Middleton, North Manchester, our client is an established and successful manufacturing company that are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join their team due to an internal promotion. This is an office based role, working 8.30 – 5.30pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30 – 3pm on a Friday.

THE JOB:

As Office Administrator you will report to the HR Director. This role is integral to the smooth running of the office, providing front of house and crucial day to day support for the office and wider teams.  This is a varied and very busy role, requiring the successful applicant to have a flexible, approachable and determined attitude to work.

A driving licence is essential for this role.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing reception, including incoming and outgoing post, couriers, and visitors
  • Ensuring all visitors are welcomed onsite and are offered refreshments
  • Controlling and the procurement of office stationery, PPE, uniforms, and site refreshments
  • Running regular errands in the local area (post office, banking, food supplies)
  • Managing the meeting rooms
  • Facilities management, ensuring the kitchens is fully stocked, dishwasher filling and emptying and arranging repairs for any appliances when required
  • Assisting the HR Director with arranging H&S training with external providers (first aid, fire marshal etc)
  • Being a member of the H&S committee, taking minutes and following up on actions when required
  • The management of waste removal
  • Managing the MOT/Servicing of company cars
  • Assisting the Senior Administrator with booking travel and accommodation and any other duties when required
  • Paying cheques and retrieving cash from the bank for petty cash when required
  • Personal duties/errands for the Directors when required
  • Credit Card reconciliation for the Directors
  • Ad hoc duties to assist other departments in the office when required

THE PERSON:

  • Full driving licence is essential (own car is desirable)
  • Used to working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task
