Based in Blackburn, our client is an established and highly regarded independent firm that are recruiting for a Qualified Accountant due to rapid growth in the local market.
THE ROLE:
Working in a busy firm, as Qualified Accountant you will take responsibility for the delivery of the accounts and audit compliance services, advising, and working on all aspects of accountancy matters for a portfolio of clients.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Review of financial statements & tax computations
- Preparation of management accounts
- Preparation of statutory financial statements for non-audit assignments
- Preparation of corporation tax computations
- Preparation of sole trader tax computations
- Preparation, with assistance, of VAT returns
- Planning, managing, and completing audit files
- Assisting in completing audit assignments
- Assisting with ad hoc projects
- Delivering Presentations internally and externally
- Attending networking events
- Supporting Marketing
- Delivering Presentations internally and externally
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will be CTA/ACA or ACCA qualified. You will require a good working knowledge of ISA’s, personal income, and capital gains tax matters together with a good solid understanding of UK corporation tax computations and VAT knowledge. You must be proficient in using all the MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. It would also be advantageous for you to have experience and a working knowledge of using statutory accounts, corporation tax and audit software.
