Paying c£40k, with remote & flexible working, this well-established housing association in the North West is looking for an experienced Rents & Service Charge Accountant to join and enhance their team, reporting to an experienced Finance Manager and supporting the Rents & Service charge area of the organisation.
THE JOB
The Rent & Service Charge Accountant will be responsible for delivering insightful analysis and support, setting rents and service charges in line with statutory requirements, lead the forecast and budget process for rents and service charges, and enabling strategic decision-making by the SMT/EMT.

THE PERSON
- You must have experience in preparing, monitoring, and forecasting of Rent & Service Charge budgets within the Social Housing Sector & the production of statutory financial statements & relevant regulatory returns
- Experience, knowledge, and understanding of current legislation, guidance, and best practice in relation to social housing rents and service charges
- Ability to develop and maintain financial information systems, processes, and procedures
- Ability to build and maintain strong and effective partnerships with customers, colleagues, and partner agencies and to demonstrate practical experience of providing advice and support on financial issues to a wide range of people at all levels
- Strong Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills
