Paying up to £26k, we are recruiting for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a company based in Ashton-Under-Lyne. This role will both be permanent and the role is fully office-based 5 days per week. The working hours are 9am - 5.30pm.

THE ROLE

You will be part of the Finance team and the main part of the role is to be the accounts payable expert and support the purchase ledger clerks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain required reporting including KPI reporting on a weekly basis
  • Prepare weekly payment runs and upload to the bank
  • Key contact for query resolution
  • Input into YOUZ implementation and ongoing maintenance and control
  • The input of supplier invoices and credits for stock, overhead, direct supply, and print suppliers matching to goods received note/advice service received/direct delivery advice and matched to purchase order
  • Timely input of all invoices received such that all invoices are captured within one working day
  • Obtain statements from suppliers and ensure reconciled on a monthly basis, querying reconciling items with supplier
  • Ensuring suppliers are paid to terms
  • Managing debit balances

THE PERSON

  • You will have previous experience within Accounts Payable
  • You will be competent in Microsoft Office Suite, and an intermediate level of Excel would be required
  • D365 and YOUZ experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Strong attention to detail is required with good numeracy and literacy skills 
  • You will be organised, with a positive can-do attitude
