Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service? We are supporting a forward-thinking business services company based in Stockport, looking to appoint a Temporary Customer Service Administrator for a 3 month period to offer additional support to their Customer Services team.

THE JOB

Working in a hybrid environment (three days in the office and two days from home), you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring seamless communication, efficient appointment scheduling, and accurate record management. With training provided to develop your sector-specific skills, this is an ideal position for someone with a background in administration or business services who thrives on varied responsibilities and delivering a great customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound emails, and queries from customers and stakeholders
  • Effectively address and resolve enquiries, escalating complex issues when necessary
  • Maintain positive, empathetic communication in line with company values and culture
  • Manage appointment scheduling 
  • Assist customers with self-booking and guide them through the customer portal
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date customer records in compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Support wider team activities, contribute ideas for process improvements, and assist with ongoing learning and development

THE PERSON

  • Must be available to start immediately
  • Previous experience in a customer service or administration role
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the confidence to emails effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to handling sensitive data responsibly and securely
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the drive to find practical solutions
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative approach to achieving common goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new IT systems as required
