Based in Manchester, this Housing association is looking for a Temporary Finance Assistant to commit to an ongoing temporary assignment. Paying £12.00 - £12.50 hourly rate (that equates to just over £23k) for a 35-hour week, flexible working, 27 days holiday + bank holidays this role will start from the office but can be predominantly home-based with the occasional visit to the office once induction training is completed.
THE JOB
- The overall purpose of this role is to support the Rents & Service Charge Manager during the busiest period within service charges
- Run reports and analysis on service charge spending, highlighting where any invoice payments have been missed and identifying significant variances between forecasted costs and actual costs
- Review all costs incurred during the year and update the various models, by reviewing invoice spend
- Assist in the production of a service charge statement confirming actual spend against budget
THE PERSON
- You must have experience of working within a Finance function and a good working knowledge of Excel in a finance capacity
- Ideally, you will be available immediately or available at fairly short notice as they are looking for someone to get onboard as quickly as possible
- You will have excellent attention to detail and have a proactive approach within the workplace
