Paying c£35K, this forward-thinking Housing Association in Greater Manchester are looking for a Part Qualified Assistant Management Accountant to support their Business Partnering Service. Very much a community and customer focussed organisation, the role will support delivering a wide range of services to better their tenants’ lives, not just the roofs above people's heads.
THE JOB
Reporting to a Qualified Finance Business Partner, you will support the production of financial management reporting, annual budget, and monthly re-forecast, progressing with time and experience to manage your own budget holders as a Junior Finance Business Partner.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
- Ensure month-end postings, adjustments, and activities are completed on time and accurately
- Review and analyse key cost areas to ensure all income and costs are captured accurately
- Balance sheet reconciliation and month end
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting / re-forecasting
- Support the production of financial management reporting
THE PERSON
- You will be a Part Qualified Accountant, actively studying, with financial and management accounting experience, including month-end close, variance analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
- You will have the drive and aptitude to work collaboratively across finance and the wider organisational teams
- The ability to communicate clearly and explain complex financial matters to non-finance stakeholders is key, as well as being able to see the bigger picture and the impact your work can deliver to the broader business
- You will be a natural driver of continuous improvement, identifying problems and proactively leading on recommendations
