THE ROLE

The Finance Business Partner role is dedicated to providing proactive and responsive financial and commercial support to internal and external finance service users. With a keen focus on budget holders, this expert ensures that financial advice is tailored to meet the unique needs of a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be proactive support for budget holders and senior leadership, offering expert advice and insightful analysis to drive informed decision-making. Taking charge of monthly performance evaluations, forecasting, and budget analysis to deliver revenue assurance and the achievement of budgets

Key Accountabilities:

  • Providing expert financial advice for budget holders
  • Relationship-building for effective communication
  • Collaborative work on budget production, monitoring, and management
  • Timely production of standard and ad hoc reports
  • Leading on month-end reporting packs
  • Supporting annual budget and quarterly forecasting
  • Financial analysis, from variance to what-if scenarios
  • Support for managing commercial risk through due diligence
  • Championing sound financial practice and compliance
  • Continuous improvement contributions to systems and financial controls

THE PERSON

  • You must be actively working towards a financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA)
  • A minimum of 3 years previous work experience in a relevant finance role
  • Business Partner role experience supporting Budget Holders
  • High degree of analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including formula knowledge and handling large volumes of data
  • Organised, deadline drive, and a great communicator
