Based in Lancashire and paying up to £53,000 (DOE) with excellent holidays and other benefits, this Housing Sector SME Not for Profit is looking to recruit a hands-on, experienced Finance Manager. The role will be office based in Chorley with potential to work from home.
THE ROLE
Supporting the CEO, you will be managing a small finance function and be hands on in the preparation of both financial and management accounts. The role will involve the development of systems and processes to support business operations and provide timely and relevant MI. If you want to do more than crunch the numbers and work with your colleagues to make a real difference then you may be the person we are looking for
Core responsibilities:
- Production of the monthly management accounts
- Ensure strong financial controls are in place and embedded
- Review and automate processes and procedures where necessary
- Support the CEO by developing robust budgets and forecasting and improved financial and performance information, including cash flow.
- Ensuring that all company procedures, compliance, and regulatory/legislative requirements are met
- Prepare annual statutory accounts and liaise with the auditors
- Ensure VFM is obtained throughout the business and for customers
THE PERSON
- You will be an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller who is well organised, has a high attention to detail and is an excellent communicator and team player
- This is a classic growth SME where you will be exposed to hands-on production, through to high-level reporting, where you can really see the impact of the changes you implement
- You will need previous experience of managing and mentoring a small team, being a natural team player who enjoys helping others to develop
- A good working knowledge of Sage or similar finance packages alongside strong Excel is essential
