Paying up to £38k with excellent hybrid & flexible working as well as superb holidays and other benefits, this well-established housing association in the North West is looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join their team. This is a newly created role designed to enhance the development of the existing & future finance systems and deliver better services across the organisation. THE ROLE
This role sits within the IT Team, but works closely alongside the Finance & BI teams, acting as their Business Partner. You will work cross-functionally with both Finance and IT to improve the finance systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation and offering innovative solutions to meet business objectives.
Core responsibilities:
- Become the subject matter expert and technical lead for developing, maintaining, and supporting the finance systems
- Provide 3rd line support and liaise with 3rd party suppliers, IT and Finance
- Responsible for system administration including user access, licenses, and configuration
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the functionality of finance systems used, including how to apply and configure solutions
- Manage and plan any upgrades for the financial systems
- Mapping business processes to capture business requirements
- Perform gap analysis
- Provide technical specifications and test scripts for new system builds or major changes.
- Contribute to the delivery of financial system training.
- Work closely with both BI and Finance teams to improve financial system reporting
THE PERSON
- You will ideally have a background in accounting and finance, with a logical approach and a natural aptitude and affiliation for systems
- Previous experience of analysing business processes, identifying and delivering positive improvements
- You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills are a must, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
- Ideally, you will have some experience in developing and supporting finance/accounting applications, including testing, upgrades, and deployment of systems into live environments
- You will have a natural interest in emerging technologies and the ability to recognise opportunities to adapt or apply them to develop innovative services
