Paying £45K plus excellent benefits, this fascinating and diverse Public Sector and Charity organisation is recruiting an experienced Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. The role offers a very flexible Hybrid but there are occasions that require office-based meetings in Central Liverpool.
THE JOB
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of the organisation by ensuring all statutory accounting requirements are complied with, alongside the duties below
Core Duties
- Manage the year-end for a complex group which includes Charity and Government reporting, ensuring statutory information and other reporting obligations are met
- Produce the group annual report and accounts
- Monitor the Capital and Project Programmes, with associated monthly reporting
- Investment & Fixed Asset reporting
- Become the in-house expert on any taxation/VAT-related matters
- Provide advice on all technical accounting issues in accordance with accounting standards
- Support continuous improvement in financial processes across the Group
THE PERSON
- You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant, but Qualified by Experience will be considered
- You will need strong technical financial experience gained within the public and/or Not for Profit sectors
- You will have a working knowledge of producing statutory accounts, VAT, and leading on the year-end audit
