In-house Assistant Corporate Tax Manager – Leeds – £45,000 to £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a household name and has one of the largest tax teams in Leeds. Due to a structural change in the business and in what will be exciting times they are seeking to appoint to the newly created role of Assistant Corporate Tax Manager.

The role will give the successful applicant exposure to a broad range of  tax matters within a supportive and dynamic team with excellent opportunities for future progression.

The role will give the successful incumbent the scope to make the role their own, and the post holder will be actively encouraged to create and implement process improvements and systems enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare corporation tax computations and tax disclosures for statutory accounts, quarterly forecasting.
  • Manage correspondence and compliance with HMRC.
  • Participate in numerous large advisory projects including the structuring of new developments, tax financing, capital allowance projects, transfer pricing, and employment related securities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key finance personnel across the business.
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams to provide details on accounting processes and transactions.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly/ quarterly/year end tax disclosures in IFRS.
  • Drafting initial year end tax provision calculations.
  • Working closely with the UK finance team to assist on the UK tax opportunities such as capital allowance reviews and RDEC claims.
  • Working with external advisers on the production of UK corporate income tax computations including preparation of UK capital allowances analysis, detailed review of tax treatment of transaction fees, and review of the corporate interest restriction calculation.
  • Provide support with other corporate tax matters as required and ensuring ongoing compliance with corporate tax compliance obligations.

The ideal candidate will be an ACA and /CTA qualified tax professional or working to qualification, with practical experience of compliance and reporting experience. You will have the ability to work under pressure and possess excellent communication skills.
