Paying between 40-50K, we are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant on a 6 month Interim basis for this future-focused and progressive not-for-profit housing association
THE JOB
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the post's main purpose is to help with the production of the monthly management accounts and supporting the wider finance team and manager with ad hoc projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Production of the monthly management accounts for a designated area
- Lead designated areas budgeting including ongoing development and improvement of systems and processes
- Contribute to the financial performance of Asset & Property function ensuring it is efficiently & effectively managed
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders & strategic partners
- Ensure budget holders are supported, advising managers and budget holders on budget planning, budget forecasting and monitoring
- Production of accurate and timely financial information and reports to enable effective decision making
- Reporting on actual and forecast financial position, variance analysis including commentary
- Ensure monthly reconciliations of the Fixed Asset register, and ensure any disposals and additions are recorded correctly
THE PERSON
- You will be an experienced management accountant, ideally with working knowledge of the social housing sector, but this is not essential
- You will ideally have experience within Asset accounting, and need to be available on short notice as this is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months
