Head Quartered in Manchester, this well established Social Housing Association is looking for a Qualified Financial Controller on an Interim basis to cover for maternity leave. Paying circa £65k for a 35-hour week, hybrid & flexible working, excellent holidays. The role is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
THE JOB
Working closely with the Director of Finance you will be responsible for all the delivery of a customer-focused, efficient financial service. Leading the Finance team, you will ensure a robust financial control environment by delivering financial reporting and reports to Board, and help budget holders better understand their budgets. You will look at continual improvement and innovation and be a proactive Finance leader, as the organisation redefines how they deliver solutions and services to its customers.

THE PERSON
- You must be able to start on short notice
- You will be a fully Qualified (CCAB) accountant with extensive experience of financial and management accounting, including leading on year-end and group consolidations
- A natural leader, you will have strong people management skills to mentor and motivate the finance team
- You will have the natural drive to improve systems, processes and procedures and have a good technical understanding of what ‘good’ looks like
