Paying between £70 - 80K, plus excellent flexible/hybrid work opportunities and package to match, this well-established North West social housing provider are looking for an experienced Head of Finance for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

 

THE JOB

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the management and guidance of the finance function, tasked with delivering the financial strategy, financial management and financial planning.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leadership of the Finance, Treasury & Financial Planning Team
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and forecasts, providing financial analysis, insight and recommendations to the Director of Finance and Exec
  • Deliver timely, relevant, accurate, management reports & KPI reporting to key stakeholders
  • Lead on the annual budgets setting and the annual 30 Year Business Plan
  • Financial appraisal, accounting and reporting for any new developments
  • Responsible for the rent increase and annual service charge setting strategy and process, ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements
  • Lead on the annual Treasury strategy, ensuring its effective implementation
  • Risk management
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for all tax related submissions
  • Develop and sustain excellent relationships within internal and external stakeholders

 

THE PERSON

  • You must be a fully qualified accountant with substantial experience of financial management, control & planning
  • Experience of managing a sizeable finance function, developing and mentoring teams to achieve and maintain excellence in performance and culture
  • A strong technical mind able to lead on treasury management, financial reporting and risk management
  • You will be motivated and an excellent communicator, able to establish effective working relationships both inside and outside the organisation at all levels
  • You will ideally have a background in social housing, but other relevant sectors will be considered
