Paying up to £35k, we are recruiting a Management Accountant to join a company based in Leigh. This role will be permanent, and the role is fully office-based 5 days per week. The working hours are 09.00am – 17.30pm. Holidays start at 22 days (including your birthday) and increase with time served.
THE ROLE
You will work within the Finance team and report directly to the Financial Controller. The role will mainly consist of producing Management Accounts and Assisting the Financial Controller with systems and processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Management accounts for two companies – with further duties being added once experience of working within the company is gained
- Purchase foreign exchange
- Provide cover for posting customer receipts and reporting to the management team
- VAT returns
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with transactional entries
- Month end and year end procedures
- Involvement with the year end audit
- Driving efficiencies within the department and the wider business
THE PERSON
You will have previous experience of working in a similar role within a Finance function. You need to be confident in liaising with team members and others outside the business. You need to have a thorough understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and previous experience in producing monthly management accounts. You will have strong reconciliation skills and advanced knowledge of Excel. You will be a conscientious and motivated individual who pays attention to detail. The client is happy to consider AAT studiers/part qual CIMA/ACCA or people that are qualified by experience.
