Great new opportunity to join our fast growing multi-site client in Manchester in the role of Management Accountant. The Management Accountant will have the support of and report into an experienced Financial Controller. You will need to have prior experience in either a financial or management accounting role and possess an accounting qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA. The responsibilities will include:
• Production of accounts for a number of entities and partner with the controller to identify any issues.
• Deliver monthly results to meet month end timetable and perform analysis of variances.
• Preparation of monthly reports, bank reconciliation and other analysis reports providing the leadership team with key insights.
• Perform monthly closing of cashbook, sales and purchase ledgers including preparation of the financial reporting package.
• Produce quarterly forecasts.
• Ensure compliance and liaise with external auditors, and outsourced service providers for statutory compliance and reporting.
• Manage and develop one Finance Assistant.
• Drive improvements to streamline and automate processes across operations in new sites as the company continues to grow.
• Proactive in ensuring completion and successful implementation of ad hoc projects.
The person
• 5+ years experience in accounting.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively within competing deadlines.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office experience.
• Excellent communication skills, effective time and self-management and strong problem-solving skills.
