This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Finance Director looking to do a fractional or part-time FD role for a dynamic growing, independent PR firm based in Manchester. The role will require 1 day a week in the office in Central Manchester.
THE ROLE
As the Finance Director, you will be a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for driving the processes and forecasting to support growth and decision-making, playing a key role in the strategic direction of the company and ensuring financial success.
A proactive contributor putting finance behind the ideas, you will be an active listener and sounding board, a strategic thinker who is confident operating within a creative C suite environment, enabling the agency to fulfill their core business objectives.
The role is exceptionally broad and promises an interesting balance between commercial and hands on duties including:
- Managing the P&L and balance sheet
- Strategic analysis providing financial guidelines on budgets & forecasts
- Providing strategic insight to the CEO/MD around future growth
- Cash flow monitoring and management
- Work alongside the client facing Account Directors to ensure accurate budgeting and billing
- Prepare the Quarterly VAT returns and annual accounts
- Appraisal and Analysis of Commercial Contracts
- Managing a Finance Manager
THE CANDIDATE
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Agency experience or working within a billings-driven/fee-based service sector
- Previous experience in business partnering with an Owner/MD
- Experience working in an SME
