Paying up to £28,000 + benefits + home working, this market leading organisation based in Rochdale is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their expanding finance team. Based at their UK head office in Rochdale, you will be reporting to the Financial Controller and supporting the wider finance department with all associated purchase ledger responsibilities. This is a full-time hybrid job opportunity, working from 8.30am -5.30pm, Monday to Friday with the option to work from home 1 day each week.

THE JOB

As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all supplier communication is accurate and timely, whilst always adopting a customer-first attitude.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Processing all purchase invoices, matching, batching, and coding
  • Dealing with invoice queries via the telephone and by email
  • Communicating with the goods inwards team to ensure invoices are correct
  • Ensuring authorisation of invoices prior to posting
  • Completing monthly statement reconciliations
  • Providing accurate payment information for the weekly payment runs
  • Reporting to the Financial Controller on any posted/unposted invoice numbers and query volumes
  • Ensuring the Company Cash Flow Report is accurate and up to date on a real-time basis in respect of Purchase Ledger
  • Weekly reconciling and reporting of intercompany transactions in conjunction with the US finance team
  • Processing company expenses

THE PERSON

  • A minimum of 2 years of purchase ledger experience
  • Experience working in an SME Environment
  • End-to-end purchase ledger experience
  • Strong communication - both written and verbal
  • Ability to work on MS Office, mainly Excel.
  • Ability to successfully organise, prioritise and work dynamically
