Paying up to £27.3k, we are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a company based in Hyde. This role will both be permanent, and the role is fully office-based 5 days per week. The working week is 35 hours and the actual hours are 9.00am - 5.00pm.

THE ROLE

You will work within the finance team and be responsible for the full purchase ledger process, from purchase orders through to invoices and reconciliation. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Matching, checking, coding invoices and delivery notes
  • Working out VAT payments
  • Making payments via BACS
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Processing invoices on a credits within a paperless office environment
  • Managing petty cash

THE PERSON

You will have previous experience working in a similar role within a Finance function and experience of working within a finance team. You will have basic Excel knowledge and be accurate and organised. You will be able to meet deadlines and have excellent communication skills. Any experience of working with foreign currency would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
