Service Charge Policy & Systems Manager – Liverpool – Hybrid role / Fully remote role - £47,099 - £52,056 + Benefits
Our client is a prestigious housing provider that has embarked on a large transitional change programme. As a result we are seeking a talented and experienced Service Charge Manager to lead the development of the group strategy and policies associated with service charges.
The role will:
- Develop the service charge strategy, and associated policies, in relation to service charge setting and administration, ensuring they are line with legislation, regulatory and legal frameworks and group strategy
- Ensure an effective workflow to monitor compliance checks for service charges
- Manage any escalated policy queries and issues from finance and operational colleagues
- Advise on any high-risk service charge matters including Section 20
- Provide advice, and input into any cases resulting in a First-Tier tribunal liaising with stakeholders
- Oversee the budget process to ensure affordability
- Ensure a data quality check framework
- Lead and motivate the service charge policy team
- Identify and deliver on system and process improvement
It is essential you are an experienced people manager, with the ability to encourage a collaborative team working environment which strives to give the best-in-class service. Supporting both finance and non-finance colleagues you will have a natural ability to negotiate and challenge where necessary. You will also be fully conversant with government guidelines and policies surrounding service charges and be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
