This well known Charity is looking for an Interim Systems and project accountant for a 12 month project, supporting the Finance Systems lead with a finance systems implementation. The offices are based in central Liverpool with a very flexible hybrid, but the role will require in person meetings by the nature of the project.
THE JOB
The Systems Accountant will contribute to the maintenance and development of the finance systems and processes. The purpose of the role is to ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial data and to support on the upcoming new finance system implementation, from process mapping support to UAT
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Finance Systems Manager in identifying, scoping, planning, documenting, implementing and testing for the new system
- Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to review and map Finance system workflows
- Ensure the operation of robust internal controls within existing and proposed processes and systems
- Finance systems documentation including current process maps, control guidance and user guides
- Take a lead role in the development and dissemination of relevant procedures and training tools and deliver sessions to support the users of Finance systems
- Scope reporting and business intelligence requirements with focus on designing reports and dashboards
- Production of financial reports and dashboards
- Maintenance of existing user database
- Providing day to day support for in house finance systems, channelling end user queries and triage of incidents as necessary
- Troubleshooting and proposing solutions for a range of detailed systems issues
- Maximisation of the potential for effective systems integrations
THE PERSON
- You will be an experienced systems/project accountant, or a finance analyst who has gained experience in systems implementation as part of your role
- You will be able to start at short notice and commit to the 12 month project
- You will have excellent communication skills, both verbally for training and written to create user manuals and effective project reports
